This allows the image to be printed anywhere on the label. With continuous media, use the transmissive sensor so the printer can detect when the media runs out.

The shape of the transponder installed varies by manufacturer and is visible through the label. When to Use Ribbon Thermal transfer media requires ribbon for printing while direct thermal media does not.
